Flying in pregnancy

Flying in pregnancy

Flying is not harmful to you or your baby, and discuss any health problems or pregnancy complications with your midwife or doctor before you fly.

The risk of giving birth is higher after 37 weeks (about 32 weeks if you are carrying twins), some airlines will not allow you to fly at the end of your pregnancy. Check with the airlines for their policy on this.

After 28 weeks of pregnancy, the airline may ask your doctor or midwife for a letter confirming your due date and stating that you are not at risk of complications. You may pay for the mail and wait several weeks to receive it.

Longer trips (more than 4 hours) carry a lower risk of blood clots (DVT). If  you fly, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly - every 30 minutes or so. You can buy a pair of compression socks or graduated compression socks at the pharmacy, which will help reduce the swelling in the legs. With the right precautions like travel insurance, most women can travel safely until the end of their pregnancy.

Wherever you go, find out about the health care facilities at your destination if you need urgent medical care. It's a good idea to keep a medical record of your birth (sometimes called a pocket book) so that you can provide important information to doctors if needed.

Learn more about health care abroad. Make sure your travel insurance covers you for all eventualities, such as medical care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the cost of rescheduling your travel dates if you give birth.

When to travel during pregnancy

Some women choose not to travel during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy due to nausea and vomiting and extreme fatigue during these early stages. The risk of miscarriage is also high in the first 3 months, whether you are travelling or not. Travelling in the last months of pregnancy can be tiring and uncomfortable. Many women find that the best time to travel or vacation is mid-pregnancy, between 4 and 6 months.

What you should not do in Canada

Nothing annoys a Canadian more than comparing their beloved country to North America, and why? Because no matter how hard you try to prove that Canada and America are one, they will tell you that you are very far from the truth. Although the two countries are connected by land and both have the same "look", that is where most of the similarities end. Canada has strong laws, customs, practices, and political beliefs that cannot be taken from Americans, and they are proud of that fact.

I missed my US immigration visa interview. The type of visa is  joint. How do I reschedule my maintenance?

When you do not appear in person for the consular interview, the consular officer cannot confirm or deny because the formal request has not been made. Note: This is different from the USCIS adjustment of status interview. If you miss this, you are considered to be out. Usually wait a few days because you need to arrange your post, then if you have time left, you should contact the consulate to reschedule, or if there is time left, you usually pay a new MRV fee and. appointment arrangement.
